What “free camping” means here

A free site may have no toilets, water, reservation, or guaranteed space. “No camping fee” does not mean every nearby pull-off is legal, or that a road is open today. Check the managing agency’s map, posted signs, access and fire rules before you go.

At Vedauwoo, the Forest Service permits camping only in marked designated sites along the listed roads. The free sites are first come, first served. Read the current area order ↗
