What fits in the XC90
About 66 cu ft with both rear rows folded by Car and Driver's measure (Volvo quotes 86) and about 75 inches of floor. That is full-size cargo space: nothing in the kit has to pack small.

Sleeping inside the XC90
With the rear seats folded, the Volvo XC90 is the bed.
- On the cargo floor: the kit's pads, or swap them for a 4-inch SUV air mattress that fills the floor.
- For regular trips, a low plywood platform makes it a real bed with storage underneath.
- Hybrid trims: leave it running in park with the climate on (about half a gallon to a gallon a night, open air only). Other trims: crack the rear windows behind Volvo XC90 window rain guards and run a small fan to stop condensation.
